Synopsis

Local-Resilience a new UK based business will take Initsys Merlin NEON edition to local authorities of all sizes in the UK.

December 16, 2021

Initsys is pleased to announce the selection of the Merlin-NEON edition as the backbone of Local-Resilience.

Local-Resilience is a fully managed service for UK-based Local Authorities,  including Parish, Town and City Councils, and District and County Councils.

The business has built hundreds of pre-packaged incident templates using the Initsys NMRE rules engine. The design of each template allows easy incident management using a cloud constructed interface for local council employees and volunteers: Use of the 'templates' adapts regional resilience planning into actionable scripts for use by agents and council employees.

The Local-Resilience interface gives public and private CCTV access using a standard interface. It allows councils to take advantage of changes to NPCC (National Police Chiefs Council) policy on the processing of intruders and other signals and deal with incidents of different types.

Templates range from those dealing with the aftereffects of a vehicle fire and other fires (road closures and damage) and climate-related incidents such as weather and damage caused by weather. The Local-Resilience interface can also link to CCTV cameras provided by Polaris Telemetry Ltd that can detect not only the number plate but type and style of vehicle and speed. This information can be provided to the Police for advisory notice despatch to repeat offenders.

There are many more features not discussed here.
